Asimismo, se promueven actividades culturales, recreativas y deportivas, orientadas tanto a la formaci\u00f3n como al esparcimiento. Se brinda acompa\u00f1amiento espiritual, respetando la libertad de culto. Adem\u00e1s, se adoptan medidas para preservar la salud psico-f\u00edsica de las personas privadas de libertad. El trabajo cumple una funci\u00f3n de laborterapia, orientada a la capacitaci\u00f3n para la posterior reinserci\u00f3n social. Los Talleres Penitenciarios tambi\u00e9n pueden realizar trabajos para el hogar, negocios o empresas.
